Cauldron, is an affectionate 7-month-old sleek black adolescent cat, and ready to charm his way into a very special forever home. Diagnosed with chronic rhinitis (non-contagious to other pets) requiring daily medication, this “tiny black panther” doesn’t let the sniffles slow him down. He’s a spunky, outgoing, high-energy boy who fills every day with joyful zoomies, carries his toys around, loves watching and swatting at “bird TV,” snuggles with purrs and kneading, and even snores adorably while sunbathing. Having battled a severe respiratory virus as a tiny baby, Cauldron matured into a confident cat SO full of LIFE, thriving with children, dogs, and other cats, and being reliably litterbox trained. He promises to bring a unique blend of playful energy and enjoyable companionship to a family prepared to manage his chronic condition.
Photographer/cat lover’s note: what a delight to photograph Cauldron a second time! He is truly a joy to work with. If you are AT ALL interested in him, definitely reach out to the great folks at All Paws Rescue for more information about his medical needs. He will be well worth the extra attention!!

Magdalena showed up heavily pregnant, and had 6 kittens just a couple of days later. She worked hard raising all her babies, did an amazing job, and now it’s her turn to find a new loving home.
Magdalena loves to be patted, and is very chatty when she wants attention. Now that her babies are all big and adopted she has been very laid back, spending most of her time looking out the windows at birds and squirrels. She loves cardboard scratchers and playing in tunnels. She isn’t thrilled about being picked up, but does tolerate it. She loves wet food, and is generally tolerant of other cats and dogs. She is accustomed to being crated, good with children (they might not want to pick her up), rides well in a car, and is litterbox trained.

Mercedes, a 3-year-old, 40-pound female lab/pit mix with medium energy, is seeking a loving forever home after a previous adoption return. This sweet girl, who was originally fostered from the OKC shelter, is crate and house trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys car rides. While she’s excellent with dogs and loves people, her enthusiastic hugs might be overwhelming for small children. Mercedes is currently back in foster care, where she demonstrates her affectionate nature and good recall, especially when called back from her mail-delivery-alert duties. She thrives on human interaction and would make a wonderful companion for an active family.
Miller’s Cause

Connor, a happy and sweet 2-year-old cattle dog mix weighing 45 lbs, is ready to find a calm and loving forever home. While this medium-energy boy enjoys playing with other dogs and relaxing on the couch, he is not a fan of loud noises or leash walks, though he is crate-trained. Despite his leash aversion, Connor’s affectionate nature and compatibility with children and other dogs make him a wonderful potential companion for a patient and understanding family.

Ginger Snap, a calm and sweet 1-2 year old lab/hound mix with couch potato energy, is a true testament to resilience. Found injured as a stray and facing euthanasia at a vet clinic, this wonderful girl was given a second chance through rescue. Now thriving in foster care, Ginger Snap is crate-trained, enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash, and is excellent with children and other dogs, making her an easygoing and loving companion ready for her forever home.

Ozzy, an adorable 8-month-old, 28-pound tri-colored miniature Aussie mix, possibly with some petite Corgi charm, is a happy boy ready to find his forever family. Rescued with his brother from an owner surrender situation, Ozzy enjoys car rides, walks well on a leash, is crate-trained, and gets along wonderfully with children, dogs, and cats. With a medium energy level and a playful spirit, this little Aussie mix is eager to bring joy and companionship to his new home.

Puppy, is a gentle 1-year-old lab/aussie mix weighing 40 lbs. He is seeking a patient and loving home to help him overcome his shy nature. Found abandoned and suffering, this precious boy has couch potato energy and enjoys the company of other dogs, thriving with playful interactions. While crate and house-trained and good with children, Puppy has a strong aversion to collars and leashes due to his past. He requires a special adopter willing to work with him on building trust and comfort. Despite his initial timidity, Puppy has a loving heart waiting to blossom in the right environment.

Sawyer, a handsome 1.5-year-old red merle Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix with boundless energy, is seeking an active and loving forever home. Initially surrendered and then rehomed, Sawyer’s high energy unfortunately caused stress for one of the resident cats, leading to his return. This crate-trained, leash-trained, and car-friendly boy is a true “love bug” who thrives on pleasing his people and would excel in a family that enjoys running, dog sports, or other high-energy activities. While good with children, dogs, and generally cats, a home where all feline members are comfortable with an enthusiastic dog would be ideal for this sweet and eager-to-please pup.

Stewie is an incredibly smart and trainable 1-2 year old poodle mix with boundless energy. He is a true testament to joy, having wagged his tail so enthusiastically that it required amputation. Now healthy, groomed, and gaining weight, Stewie’s happiness is infectious. His high energy and excitability require a dedicated family with the time and desire to provide consistent training and ample outlets for his enthusiasm. While his energy might be overwhelming for very young children or small pets, Stewie’s eagerness to please and food motivation promise a bright future with the right patient and active home.

Dolly, is 4-year-old schnauzer mix seeking a loving home after her rescue from a cruelty confiscation and eviction situation that left her in poor condition. This medium-energy girl, who is crate-trained, leash-trained, and a good car traveler, enjoys the company of other dogs and people, but strongly dislikes kennels, making her best suited for a home where someone is frequently present or comfortable with her being free. Despite her difficult past, Dolly is an easygoing companion ready to experience a REAL family.

Meagan, a sweet and active 10-week-old, 11-pound female goldendoodle puppy, is ready to find her forever home after a difficult start. Abandoned with her sibling when their owners moved, she was thankfully rescued by a neighbor. Now safe and thriving, Meagan is crate-trained and enjoys playing with children, dogs, and cats. While still working on house training, this high-energy pup is always up for a snack and eager to please, making her a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Joy, is a 17-week-old female mixed breed puppy, and a sweet and relatively easygoing companion who was rescued as a tiny, seven-pound pup during a harsh January cold spell in a rural area. Now thriving, Joy is crate-trained, enjoys car rides, and gets along wonderfully with dogs, children, and cats. With a charming fondness for sniffing out treats and a delightful habit of snuggling on the bed, this playful yet medium energy pup is ready to bring warmth and affection to her forever home.

Reni was surrendered to the shelter by her previous owner for euthanization. (!?!?!?) She was emaciated and had recently had a litter of puppies. She is slow to get to know and trust new people, but is a very good girl. Reni is an Australian Shepherd mix, about 1 year old, and 45 lbs. She is crate trained, leash trained, good in a crate, good in a car and good with other dogs.
Misfits Mutts & Meows

This adorable kitten is about 3 months old and ready to find a loving new home of her own. Her feral mom was rescued by a woman who was able to foster her kittens. Chessie is well-adjusted to other cats and litterbox trained, making her a delightful addition to any family.

Hank and Sheba are pit/chiweenie mixes. What a combo! They are a bit past 9 weeks old and good with other dogs. They will be eligible for adoption in mid February. Do not pass these sweeeties up!

Sissy, is approximately 7 months old, full of youthful energy and curiosity. This playful kitten is ready to bring joy and laughter to a loving home. Whether it’s chasing a ball of yarn, cuddling on a lap, or simply enjoying a good nap, she is sure to steal your heart.

Groot and Rocket were abandoned in the country as mere babies. Despite their rough start, with a little love and care, they’ve overcome their initial health challenges. Though their large pupils give them an otherworldly appearance, they’re full of playful energy and affection. While they may need some time to adjust to a new environment, they’re sure to become cherished members of a patient and loving family. Due to their high energy and sensitivity, they may not be the best fit for homes with very young children.
OKC Animal Welfare
A note about OKC Animal Welfare adoptables: because these animals live in foster homes rather than the shelter, they do not appear on the shelter’s website. For each one, within their bio, there is a link to call or email their foster people, or to their PetFinder profile.

Holly is a 2 and a half year old hound mix, approximately 40 lbs. Her ID# is A440327. She has a medium energy level, is crate and leash trained, good in a car and good with other dogs with slow introductions. Holly can be very playful, but also settles down easily. Holly can entertain herself for a good while with a nylabone, and loves to sleep on the couch or a bed. For more information about Holly or to arrange a meeting, contact her foster people at okboxerdog1@gmail.com.

Nate, ID #A440291, is a 2-year-old, 70-pound male German Shepherd mix who has been in foster care since October, and has shown great progress. Playful and energetic, Nate would make an excellent running, walking, or hiking companion and is ready for any adventure. He is great in a crate, on a leash, and rides well in a car with some coaxing. While he plays well with other dogs, he is a bit food aggressive and should be fed separately, although this is improving. Nate is jumpy and needs firm boundaries around small children, especially when food is involved. Very snuggly and affectionate, Nate craves attention and is making great strides in housebreaking in his foster home. For more information about Nate, contact his foster people at staceysheely@gmail.com.

Bertha is a charming 6-year-old, 75-pound mixed breed with a penchant for leisurely living. This gentle soul, described by shelter staff as “the cutest and nicest,” Bertha prefers good meals and company to fetch and games, though she does enjoy greeting her canine and human friends with enthusiasm. While excellent with children and dogs, her curiosity towards cats makes a cat-free home ideal. Fully house-trained and a fan of backyard sniff-abouts, Bertha’s only quirk is her friendly but vocal greetings to passing people and dogs, making her a lovable companion for a relaxed household.

Shiitake, a happy and affectionate 5-month-old male mixed breed puppy, is back in foster care through no fault of his own after his initial adoption fell through due to his previous family’s move. This goofy bundle of high energy quickly reacclimated to his foster home’s routine and is always ready with a big grin and a desire for affection. While still mastering basic obedience, Shiitake’s eagerness to please and playful nature make training an enjoyable experience. Already crate-trained, leash-trained, good in a car, and house-trained, this sweet boy is ready to bring endless joy to his forever family.

Queso is a large and loving 4-year-old male tabby, seeking new lodging after being surrendered upon his previous human’s military enlistment. This self-proclaimed “couch potato” adores people, often seeking close proximity by sleeping above your head. If he can’t get to you, he may opt for giving himself endearing “hugs.” While great with children and dogs, Chaos prefers to be the sole feline the household and can be a bit of a bully towards other cats when feeling insecure. This litterbox-trained boy enjoys the finer things in life, especially catnip, and despite being declawed on his front paws, he’s ready to be the center of attention in a new family.

Barney and Betty are a sweet, bonded pair of German Shepherds, weighing 65 and 73 pounds respectively. They were found roaming the streets of Oklahoma City with their puppy in January after reportedly being fed by someone for a month. These affectionate dogs are quickly learning the joys of indoor living and thrive on being spoiled, though they likely lived outdoors previously. While Betty is a great passenger, Barney believes car rides are best enjoyed in your lap; however, both love their walks and are excellent on leash. Fully crate and potty trained, Barney is working on his occasional jumpiness, and their shared digging habit in the yard is easily managed with supervision and engagement. This high-energy duo is seeking a loving home together where their sweet and devoted nature can truly shine.

Ghost, a handsome 7-year-old, 80 lb German Shepherd, is a big, social cuddle bug with plenty of energy who adores being with his people, though his strong desire for companionship means he experiences separation anxiety. Despite this, Ghost is a well-rounded boy who enjoys car rides and gets along wonderfully with children, dogs, and cats, making him a loving and playful addition to a home where he can be a cherished member of the family.

Despite being a in foster care for nearly a year, Ernie, a handsome 21 month old, 70 lb pit/boxer mix, stell seeks his forever home. This eager-to-please boy is highly treat-motivated and boasts an impressive repertoire of commands including sit, stay, come, up, down, bed, and potty. High-energy and well-mannered in his crate, on a leash, and in the car, Ernie is also known to be wonderful with children, dogs, and cats, making him a truly exceptional companion ready for a committed family.

We gotta talk about Bruno! This handsome 6-8 year old, 70 lb pit bull terrier mix, is a charming conversationalist with a penchant for catch and a need for a canine buddy. Following his unexpected arrival in a local pet store, he spent a stressful period in boarding which lead to health complications. He has since thrived in a foster home alongside a lively dog and three cats. This couch potato enjoys car rides, kennel time (especially with a friend), and exploring Bar K, but his history necessitates a home with privacy fencing and at least one other dog to ease his isolation anxieties. Fully house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained, and great with children, dogs, and cats, Bruno is seeking a loving family who will appreciate his unique personality and include him in their daily adventures.

Meet Belle Star, a 2-year-old, 87-pound Labrador Retriever mix with a charming personality. This is her second time with her current foster home and they are determined to find her a forever home that will never leave her behind again. Belle is friendly with people, dogs, and children, and enjoys car rides. She’s leash-trained, crate-trained, and is excellent with other dogs and kids. Belle has couch potato energy level, making her a relaxed companion. She loves squeaky toys and balls, and is generally submissive, though she may submissively urinate when scared. One quirk is that she doesn’t like her feet being touched. Despite her past, Belle is a sweet, loving dog ready to find a new family who will cherish her forever.

Kindred, an 8+ year-old, 65-pound female pit bull terrier mix, was rescued after being found bony and emaciated, weaving through a busy intersection. Severely malnourished and suffering from multiple health issues, including infected ears, overgrown nails, and a bladder condition, she was hospitalized for a week and diagnosed as an insulin-dependent diabetic. (Don’t let her diagnosis scare you away; if her foster family can do it, so can you!) Four months later, Kindred has made a remarkable recovery and is now thriving! This couch potato loves cuddles, snacks, car rides, sun tanning, and leisurely strolls. Crate trained, good in a car, and great with dogs and children, Kindred’s easy-going and loving nature make her an amazing dog deserving of a forever home, though she would do better without cats.

Honey Lee is a 4-year-old, 59 lb pit bull terrier mix who will be available for adoption in March. She was found as a stray near Honey Lee Ranch and, although she had recently given birth, her puppies were never found. It’s clear that she has raised several litters, and now she has the chance to live her own life. Honey Lee is incredibly sweet and loves her people. She is crate trained, house trained, and gets along well with children and other dogs. She’s also good in a car, making her a wonderful companion for any family looking for a loving and loyal addition to their home.

Theodore is a 9-year-old, 85 lb mastiff mix who is crate trained, good in a car, good with dogs, leash trained, good with children, and good with cats despite having cat allergies. He became famous through a heartwarming video of him in a shelter, where a small puppy climbed all over his head, leading to his rescue from euthanasia.
Theodore is a big, deaf boy who loves napping, physical affection, snacks, and chasing balls. He spends most of his days snoozing with his tongue out and is unbothered by most things due to his deafness, making him a chill guest. He enjoys the company of other animals but requires supervision as he can miss cues and be more sensitive. Despite missing some teeth, he eagerly munches on treats and will go anywhere for them. His kennel is his safe space, and he will walk himself in there when motioned. Theodore had two mast cell tumors removed, and while recurrence is likely, he takes Benadryl for allergies, which helps prevent growths. Theodore has so much life and love to give and deserves the perfect home. Meeting him will make you fall in love with this sweet boy.
