Hello foster families!

My name is Kathy Thompson and I am the owner/photographer at OKKat Photography.  You may have seen rescue and foster portraits I’ve provided for OKC Animal Welfare, All Paws Rescue, Misfits, Mutts & Meows, Safe Haven Animal Rescue, and many others. To help YOU find new homes for all these amazing critters you love, I offer free foster portrait sessions for your adoptable foster animals! You bring me the critters, I’ll take some cute pictures of them, edit them to be even CUTER, and send them to your organization for posting on social media and websites so we can get these lovable babies into furever homes!

The “DeTails”

Who can participate: foster families with foster pets, working with 501(c)(3) or municipal rescue/shelter organizations that spay/neuter.  If your organization meets these criteria but is not listed in the signup form, have their leadership contact me to get added!

When: One Sunday and one Friday a month at this time. Check the listed dates and calendar below for upcoming availability. If those dates don’t work for you, On-Demand Foster Portraits are available for a small fee!

Where: OKKat Photography Studio at 3200 Winter Drive, in central Oklahoma City.

How long: up to 45 minutes per session/animal. Many sessions will be much shorter.

Deadline to sign up: None! You can sign up DAY OF with 2 hours lead time, as long as there are slots available! Choose your slot in the calendar below, fill out the form to share a little about you and, particularly, your foster pet.  Shortly after that’s submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email.  You’ll also receive a reminder email 24 hours before your time slot.

Important Notes

  • Please schedule only one adult animal per session.
  • If you are fostering multiple animals, please sign up for as many unique appointments as you need.  If you are able to schedule back-to-back time slots, we probably won’t even take that long!
  • For small families/litters, consider that one animal and one session.
  • Use the reschedule/cancel buttons in your confirmation and reminder emails as needed. No show/no calls will be banned without exception.
  • Check back often for newly opened slots, even that day! There are OFTEN cancellations, as some animals get adopted prior to their portrait appointments. Good for them AND for you!
  • All dates subject to change.
